Location: New York, NY

A full exterior renovation was completed on a landmarked building in New York City’s historic Village. A victim of years of dirt and grime accumulation; cracks and water infiltration were consistent throughout the exterior. The cast-iron facade was unrecognizable and walls were in need of repair. The restoration was Landmarks Preservation Commission approved to be representative of the buildings original warehouse design. Dilapidated windows, coping stones, and bricks were replaced. All brickwork was re-pointed. The cast-iron details on the 14th Street facing façade was cleaned and repaired; custom molds were commissioned when replacement was necessary. To preserve the restoration, the entire façade received coatings of a high-performance paint system. The entire restoration was achieved within 18 months; work was conducted in four phases.
